| This year the
subject of the essay was "What Freedom Means to Me". Out of 179 submitted essays, only three winners could be chosen. All three winners are students at our school: Leah Divine (8th grade) 1st place, Ty Underwood (7th grade) 2nd place and Bonnie Adams (7th grade) 3rd place |

PHOTOGRAPHY 6TH-8TH GRADEBy Mr. Daniel Doane Last year Columbia Elementary participated in the Discovery Communications, Inc. Art Education Grant Program. About 40 pieces of artwork created by students in grades 6-8 will be displayed in the office buildings of The Discovery Channel outside of Washington, D.C. Artwork representing various styles of art were shown to students and then the students used digital cameras and Adobe Photo Elements to create their own version. Click HERE to see the results |
